After a very tough cold day the final 32 is now just 8.
In Section One Neil Burkett finished with three wins to hold out the evergreen Rex Johnston.
In Section Two Wayne Turley also finished with three wins, to advance ahead of Kelsey Cottrell who managed two out of three.
In Section Three Jeremy Henry held off a challenge from Brody Pitham to also advance undefeated.
Section Four was taken out by Zel Trbara despite Zel being thumped by Kelvin Kerkow by 23 shots in his last match. Trbara amazingly won the section with two wins minus seven shots!
Claire Duke flew the flag for the women in Section Five. Despite a loss to Sam Laguzza Claire took out the section finishing with a superior shot aggregate over Ben Twist and Laguzza.
Section Six proved to be the tightest, with locals Cory Daley and John Bain and Warner's Bay's Brian Morton all finishing with two wins. Daley proved the victor, advancing ahead of Bain by one shot.
David Ferguson dominated Section Seven winning all three matches. No other player in this section finished with a positive shots margin, such was Ferguson's dominance.
Finally Section Eight was taken out by the ever reliable Rowan Brassey, also unbeaten. The best of the remainder of the section was Ryan Bester.
So the quarter finals will be as follows:
Neil Burkett Vs Wayne Turley
Jeremy Henry Vs Zel Trbara
Claire Duke Vs Cory Daley
David Ferguson Vs Rowan Brassey
