Allan Buchan Fours Winners

Local teams finished in first and second in the tournament with Ric Southam's side of Hans Katala, Graeme Smallwood, and Aden Pike leapfrogging clubmates Keith Scullin, Des Everett, Jim Phillips and John Farrell in the last round to win overall by one point.
Five teams went into Sunday's play unbeaten, with four of these advancing to the last round still in the hunt. Jim Swan's side suffered a heartbreaking one shot loss to remove them from contention.
Bellingen's lone entry skippered by Mark Delamere finished in third place after maintaining their winning streak for the five rounds, falling just behind Farrell in second place. A last round draw was enough to keep Sawtell's Paul Bartholomew and team in the money, the side holding on to fourth place at the close of play.
The fact that only three teams were able to win all five matches is testament to the quality of the field.

Congrats to all winners!

Attention will now move to club championships, and preparations for the upcoming pennant season. Results of championships will be posted as they come to hand.

Cheers,

Chippy
