Sawtell and Coffs Ex Services have both completed their respective Club Fours championships for the new year...
At Sawtell, Neil Davidson, Ray Cridge, Graham Green and Paul Bartholomew were victorious in the final against Graeme Campbell, Noel Thomas, Ray Grandemange and Alec Berry.
To reach the final Bartholomew's side defeated R Mullen, P Warby, J Grebert & J Townsend, whilst Berry and co defeated D Scott, B Sutton, N Stahlut and A McFaydn.
At Coffs Ex Services the side of J Long, R Host, G Tindall and J Bishop, proved a champion team can beat a team of champions when the currently graded number five pennant players outclassed a number of higher graded sides to take out the Club Fours championship. In the final they out pointed Gary Herberts side 21-18.
Park Beach is closing in on the finals of the 2012 Club pairs championships, with the quarter finals set for completion this weekend. The quarters were washed out in the early stages two weeks ago with the rain proving a blessing for some sides, and a shame for others.
After 8 ends, Steve Kennedy & Rick White lead Bob Bain & Barry Garner by a shot, and John Bain & Cory Daley hold a six shot advantage over Steve Plumb & Rob Wardrop.
After seven ends Josh Forbes and Rod Farmer will be ruing the rain, having opened a seven shot lead early against John Bennett & Don Wood.
Finally Peter Woodsell & Laurie Morris hold a one shot lead against reigning champions John Eding & Terry Kadwell.
