Despite the terrible weather, rounds one and two were able to be completed on Sunday at Park Beach in the MNC District Fours championships.
Round One saw six sides advance to the next round, with Rex Holloway's Park Beach rink winning the match of the round against the Scotts Head entry skippered by Hagop Aladjadjian by thirteen shots.
In round two, Park Beach dominated the top half of the draw with Teams skippered by Don Wood, Cory Daley, Laurie Morris and Jim Swan moving through to the quarter finals. On the bottom side of the draw, Brett McDonnell's Urunga outfit kept their hopes of back to back finals alive with a victory. Aden Pike also skippered his team through to the last eight. Martin Wilson and his side from West Coffs won the match of the round against Rod farmers foursome from the host club whilst in the upset of the round another host club team skippered by Tom Blow held on for a one shot victory over Grant Blom's Coffs Ex Services side.
