MNC District Fours Semi Finals

Only two teams remain in the District Fours after some fierce competition at Park Beach yesterday.
Despite heavy rain overnight, the quarter finals were able to get underway unaffected, with Aden Pike's side gaining an early advantage against the only remaining West Coffs entrant skipped by Martin Wilson. Pike and co never surrendered their advantage to move into the semi. A second Park beach team skippered by Jim Swan was the next to advance, outclassing the outfit skippered by Laurie Morris. Cory Daley's foursome continued the Park Beach trend grinding out a tough ten shot success over Don Wood and team. Brett McDonnell stopped it being an all Park Beach affair in the semi finals when his Urunga side out pointed Tom Blow's troops to take the last place in the final four.
As they did in the quarter final, Aden Pikes foursome got out of the blocks early and never looked back in their semi, stopping dead the Urunga quartet's hopes of successive district fours finals, the final finishing well before the regulation 21 ends.
The second semi final proved a much tougher affair as Parky big guns Daley and Swan went head to head. Daley managed a break of five shots late in the match and held it to the end to the finish.
The final between Pike and Daley will be an intense affair as the two sides in the best form of the past two weeks go head to head.
