Coffs Ex Services affirmed its position at the top of the ladder in Grade Five defeating the side closest to them at the start of the round, being West Coffs. the ladder leaders didn't have it all their own way but finished strongly to claim the big board. Bowraville and Macksville both also recorded victories to move up the ladder at the expense of Woolgoolga and Stuarts Point.
Grade Six saw the upset of the round when West Coffs who hadn't previously scored a point in the first three rounds defeated ladder leaders Nambucca Heads 5 - 1. The result has caused a log jam at the top of the leader board, Nambucca still holding on to top spot, but with Urunga, North Beach and Sawtell breathing down their neck all within 1.5 points.
In Section One of Grade Seven, Bowraville missed a golden chance to put one hand one the section victory when they fell to Nambucca Heads. This section however appears to be a two horse race now between Nambucca and Bowraville, with Macksvile and Park Beach both six points further behind the two.
In Section Two, Coffs ex Services and Park Beach both had victories to close the gap on Urunga. Coffs now lead by a point however have the bye in the next round with Urunga, Parky and Woolgoolga all well in contention and looking to steal first place.
Cheers,
Chippy
